F.A CUP  - HOME AT LAST !

Newport have been given a home draw in the extra preliminary Round of the F.A.Cup after years of having been drawn away.

Their visitors on Saturday August 14th will be Kidlington who finished eleventh in the Hellenic League last season, indicating a fairly evenly contested match.

The winners will be away a fortnight later to either Warminster Town from Wessex League Div 1 or Reading Town who finished third in the Hellenic League. If Reading are the winners, they may have problems hosting the match owing to the Reading Festival being held nearby.

Should we win both matches, then we will be at home in the 1st Qualifying round to either, Bishops Cleeve, Bicester or Westbury United on September 11th.

We have been drawn at home in the 1st Qualifying Round of the F.A.Cup on September 4th to Whitchurch United from Wessex League division 1. A win will necessitate a trip to East Grinstead in the second Qualifying Round and again if we win both matches we will be at home in the 1st round to either Hayling United, Shoreham, Andover New Street or East Cowes Vics.
