DEREK SWOOPS FOR COWES PAIR

defender Martin McDonough who made 2 starts for us in 2008-09.

Most of last season's squad have re-signed except for Adam Shepherd who is having trials with Watford, Keelan Sainsbury who is training pre-season with Havant and Iain Seabrook who is training with Gosport. We hope that it works out for them, if it does not,  they will be welcome back at the club, we also hope Adam Howarth stays at the club.

It is also hoped that Ashley Wright will be fit after an ankle operation to start pre-season training.

We wish Fred Woodford all the best in his new role as manager of East Cowes and would like to thank him for his work with the under 18's.  Alan Hibberd has taken over the role as manager of under 18's,with Les Means continuing as coach. We have two youth sides from Cowes joining us which will keep the progress of the youth for the future, both sides with play on the mainland, the club will enter two more sides at under 8's. One side will be manged by Ashley Wright and Justin Hughes, while the other will be run by Graham Snow & Stuart Simmond, this season. 

Martin Young and Stuart Shepherd have joined us and will work closely with Derek, Paul and John.

With the addition of Dave Brown joining our team of ground staff from Brading, the ground in general will look great for the coming season as we have also brought in the grass experts Hillcroft to advise and to carry out work for us.
