Wyvern under 18s         0-6           Newport St Georges under 18s

Despite a very wet pitch, Newport played some very good football in the first half. Kicking into a strong wind helped them keep the ball under control, but they struggled to put the home goalkeeper under any real pressure until Fred Knowles carved himself a chance and slotted the ball home. A typical late run into the box saw Josh Younie grab the second and Kayman Collins smashed in the third from close range. After the break with the wind behind them Newport for a while, had trouble controlling the ball and the game, but gradually they started to play some diagonal passes and once again took control of the game. George Utteridge replaced a very energetic Josh Palmer, and straight away found himself in the right place at the right time to slot two goals. To round it off the goal of the game came when Keelan Sainsbury very calmly passed the ball into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box.

The game was played in a very good spirit, the referee awarded only a handful of free kicks and allowed the game to flow, Wyvern battled well the whole game and tried their best to play some decent football.
