Newport travelled to Locks heath on Friday with a small squad which included debuts for Marsel Cullis, Ian Bennet (Shanklin Manger), Darren Roberts, Richie Woodburn, Steve Taylor (Cowes Manger)  and Keith Mcglocklin.
Both teams had chances but 2 goals from Richie Woodburn and 1 from Mark Patemen sealed the win for The Port Vets. Bennet, Woodburn, Taylor and Mcglocklin all impressed on debut, But on a sad note the mystery sniper appeared again but this time was on Darren Roberts! After walking 6ft on the pitch Roberts had a sharp pain in his leg and couldn’t carry on……rumour has it that Nigel True was seen jumping into a car outside the ground a few mins after the incident. That’s now the second victim he has had after the 1st to Simo at Gosport.
